According to Security Focus, 60 new security vulnerabilities
are discovered every month. While Linux is much more
secure than Windows and other Microsoft products,
over 140 different Linux vulnerabilities were reported
last year.
Keeping track of security bugs, finding the applicable fixes
and applying them is a complex, time-consuming process.
It requires significant expertise in Linux and could
render your server unusable.
ServerWise is now offering the new Server
Security Update Service, designed to reduce your security
headaches and let you focus on running your business.
What is our service?
The Server Security Update Service guarantees application
of all security fixes to your server within 2 business
days from the time they become available on our Bugfix
Update Help web page.
This service applies only to packages installed by
ServerWise on the initial
build on Linux Servers and Cobalt RaQs. On software
packages installed independently on servers by our
customers, we would continue to offer the installation
of upgrades and fixes on request only and at our hourly
support rates.
On Linux Servers, we would install upgrades, patches
and fixes released by RedHat. On Cobalt RaQs we would
install upgrades, patches and fixes released by Cobalt
Networks.
ServerWise is not responsible for the software released by either
RedHat or Cobalt Networks.
